1976 PORSCHE 912E - 1 OWNER - 3.0L Euro Motor Vin: 9126001142 Mileage: 165,431 You are looking at a 1 owner 76 912E with a 3.0L european engine swap. This car has been with the original owner since the day it left the dealership in New York. The car has a lot of history and all service, repair, part purchases, every document from 1976 including the original bill of sale is with the vehicle. The owner did enter the vehicle into several time trials (with some victories) that are noted in the history. The car is not in perfect shape but it is a running, daily driven vehicle. The body is solid with no major rust. It was repainted (same original color) several years back but it is not perfect by any means. The interior is all original but needs some TLC. The seats have covers as the original material is cracked, broken and needs replacement. Steering wheel was replaced with an aftermarket MOMO as the original steering wheel was falling apart. The owner recently modified the rear bumper by removing the bumperettes to give it a Euro look. What a fantastic car to drive. It does need some cosmetic work, but this car is road ready! The 3.0L motor was installed in the late 70s. It is a real Euro motor. The 3.0L engine pushed the 911 beyond 140 miles per hour (don't try on public roads) and gave it a 0-60 of under 6 seconds which was fast for it's time. The engine is based from the Turbo (minus the Turbo charger) and is equipped with K-Jetronic CIS fuel injection. The engine was recently rebuilt (within the last 2 years) completely by TuneRS Motorsports in Coral Springs, Florida. Since the rebuild the car has close to 10,000 miles driven on it.
