Price: US $96,000.00 SOLD OUT
This beautiful Pale Primrose with Black Leather interior, numbers matching 1967 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Series 1 Open Two Seater Roadster was purchased by my father, a Dentist, in 1968. It has been in the family ever since. I, his son, bought the car from him in 1990 and spent 7 years completing a ground up restoration to Concourse quality. All parts, most repairs, and painting were performed by British Auto of Manchester NH. The car had 90K miles when dismantled. Every part was meticulously restored to exact original specifications. All bolts and original white cadmium plated parts were cleaned, bead blasted and re-plated. All painted parts were re-painted in original colors. The Chrome has been stripped and re-Chromed. All new wheels, spinners, Tires and covertible top. The Brake system has new calipers with Stainless Steel cylinders, new pads and rotors. The engine has been professionally rebuilt by Manchester Engine rebuilders with new pistons fitted and updated bronze valve guides incorporated in the head rebuild. I showed the car at the National Jaguar Concourse event at the Stratton Mountain Vermont resort and won 2 nd place in the Concourse class in 1997. I lost points because there was some dirt on the inner spokes of the wheels and the radio was not original. I have the original radio and will include it in this sale. All fluids have been drained and replenished on a regular basis, including brake, clutch, differential and transmission fluids as well as motor oil and filter. The car has been stored in a closed garage encased in a Car Jacket with desiccant and driven on occasion since the Concourse. Each year since 1997, the car is started and maintained to secure its value. It has been driven less than 2000 miles since its total restoration. If you are in the market for a perfect example of the most desirable late Series 1 Jaguar 4.2 Liter Dual Overhead Cam 6 Cylinder 3 carburetor engine, with full synchromesh gear box, covered headlights and toggle switches , this is the Jag for you. The black Interior and Convertible top are new. No expense was spared in this restoration. The body has been re-painted inside and out. All the aluminum has been polished to chrome like finish. The restoration of this car cost well over $125,000.00. I really hate to let it go, but life changes force me to sell. Look at the pictures and own this dream Jaguar for yourself. Call Brian at 603-315-2550 if you have any questions. I am the owner and I have a clear title in hand. I reserve the right to cancel this listing at any time.
