Barn find. Long-term ownership 1979 Porsche 911 SC Coupe with factory air. This is a euro market car that was properly imported into the USA in about 1984. The car has 121,000 original kilometers on it which equals about 76,000 miles. It has the original engine and transmission. It is a nice solid car with the only rust through in the door jambs. There is some minor surface rust on a few spots on the body but the metal is very solid. The underside is totally rust free, solid and original. This car was owned by a skilled mechanic who had a lot of other projects going on. He parked it in 2006 (when the car was last registered) and only got back to it this year. He did the fuel system, brakes, put new tires on it and a new battery as well as a fresh oil change. He then lost interest and I bought the car. The car still has several needs. It will start and idle but need substantial further sorting with both the electrical system and engine tuning before being a reliable driver. While the brakes were done, they were not properly bled and will need some adjustment but the heavy lifting is done with respect to the brakes. The car has its original engine and transmission. The interior is also correct with the exception of Ricaro seats that were installed. The original seats are long gone sadly. The car has very solid floors, decent original carpeting and excellent dash and instruments. The car is in desperate need of a good cleaning and I kind of struggled not wanting to 'ruin' the barn find aspect but not liking the dust and dirt on and in the car. Please email me with questions. The car has its original manual, jack, spare and spare inflation pump. It has factory air conditioning still on the freon and with full pressure. The engine bay is original and somewhat dirty. The hood is also original but has a lot of wires loose around the fuse box. Take a look at the pictures..if I overlooked something, I will do my best to get a picture and add a description addendum as fast as I can. I will be traveling later today through Sunday. Inspections invited and welcomed. Car is for sale elsewhere and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
