For sale is my 1976 2002 that I have been working on for the past 4 years. I bough the car from Portland Oregon, so the car was very sound in terms of rust. (have photos of condition when I bough it). My intent was to have a sound 2002 that I could drive on a regular basis, not a show car, but it turns heads everywhere I go. These cars are becoming harder and harder to find in sound condition; and are going up in price. Exterior: Car was stripped down to bare metal and re-painted with correct Bjord Blue, car had very little rust, but whatever it had was taken care of. Most of the rubber is new, all trim has been reinstalled except for the high belt line trim which I have but have not reinstalled. New antenna. New wiper blades and arms. 13" BBS wheels, although I have the original steel wheels. The car has a very rare electric sunroof (factory) in working condition. Interior: Completely restore to correct original. interior is all new or reconditioned to correct original, both front seats were overhauled with correct vinyl covers, horsehair padding and hardware, the seat frames were stripped of all rust and repainted. Interior vinyl panels are all original and in perfect shape. Carpet is original and in very good shape, hence why I reinstalled on the car. Headliner is new. New driver door window regular, (so both windows work correctly). Every possible nut and bolt that have taken out I have replaced with correct size(metric) stainless steel bolts and nuts. The car will be delivered with the original steering wheel, not the Nardi shown on the photos. Mechanical Car is mechanically sound. New weber carburetor, new bosh starter, new bosh battery, front brake rotors were replaced, new guibo, new front and rear shock absorbers, many other small parts- list is too long-. The 4 speed transmission shifts smoothly. Engine smokes a bit, probably valve seals. Please note that mileage state is just a read of the odometer, which at this time is not working. Furthermore for a car this age it is impossible to tell if the odometer has turned or not. The car is not perfect, but is very sound, and need very little else. I would say the engine needs some work, and the exhaust will probably need replacing in the near future. My plan was to tackle those two items next spring, but I have some other priorities now and need to concentrate my efforts elsewhere. Payment.
