The motor I changed to a 1954 GMC 302 , the previous owner made the intake and mounted a Holley Carb . I put a brand new Holley on & it runs great , can easily be changed back to a stock intake & carb. I put a large oil pan that holds twelve quarts of oil & a original larger capacity filter. I Replaced the transmission is four on the flour , stock . Original radiator re-built & brand new wiring harness . Drive-line has new U- joints & carrier bearing with a new rear end seal . New front brakes & the rears are like new . Solid rear rims , no more split rims . Windows roll up & down , door handles do not work from the outside only on the inside . The bed needs replacing ," see photos " of new old sides , skirts & fenders are ( rough ) along with cross supports are in good usable condition . Driver support is rusted threw the cab & the corners of the cab are rusted also .Can all be easily fixed . Lots of miscellaneous parts , two heaters ( blue one GMC ) , two sets of corner glass & the tail piece support for the bed , see photos . Iv owned the truck for 15 years & drove it out from Northern California to Southern Colorado in 2007 .The truck was owned by a fire dept. in Watsonville California to haul equipment . On the roof are the original holes for the emergency lights & on the driver-side fender are the original holes for the siren , you can still see the original red paint on the fire wall.
