Price: US $20,000.00 SOLD OUT
You are bidding on a very rare part of history that was sold at a local auction in the town where I live. This is a 1966 GMC panel truck that was bought for our county during the height of the nuclear age, by the US government or local government. Most towns had 3 or 4 of these vehicals stored and ready in the event of war and or great tragedy, such as flood , and other weather events .If you want to see this exact vehical you can Google (1966 GMC Civil Defense vehical ) and this is the original, not redone, truck that is listed in this auction. This truck was moved from fire hall to fire hall over the years and was well maintained and always stored inside, that is the reason for the great condition of this vehical. There are a few damaged places on the body from years of being moved around to different locations in our county. The condition of the engine and running gear is in great condition, as it should be, with only having 6,800 original miles. The interior is all orignal and in excellent condition to be 49 years old. The 66 still has all the motorola 2 way radio equipment that looks to be from the mid 60's. The wench is in great working condition. There is just a few spot of surface rust and only surface rust thats the reason I say it has zero rust in the listing. The tires and wheels are in new condition. The county did not keep up with the title or may not have ever had one, so there is only a bill of sell. Good luck bidding.
