Price: US $45,000.00 SOLD OUT
1941 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL COUPE H124421 (only one that the VIN reads the same backwards & forwards) . I am the Third Owner of this Car. My Uncle Hans purchased this Car in 1950 from a Man named Nelson (that is all that I know about Him). It was my Uncle's Pride & Joy from 1950 to 1973. He pulled out the V12 about 1955 (as a lot of owners did at that time) and dropped in a 1953 Rocket Olds Engine with Hydra-Matic Transmission. He drove it on vacations up to about 1969: Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado, Nevada that I know of. In 1973 He had a Terminal Illness and passed the Car on to me before He passed away 8 months latter. I drove it all up and down the state of California and Nevada once. In 1991, the Olds was tired and I replaced it with a Rebuilt 1969 Lincoln 460 Engine & C6 Automatic. I also installed, Power Steering, Power Brakes with Front Disks for better stopping power. It is still original looking on the Outside. Some of the Interior is Original Leather and the Header and Sun Visors are also Original. Some of the Interior was done by my Uncle years ago, and the Seats I had done in 1974 as they were worn. I was 24 at the time and didn't spend a lot of money on them. It was a Driver and not a show car. I am now 65 and downsizing for Retirement. I hate to part with Her but hard to buck Father Time. According to the FORD Archives, the Car was built on April 23rd, 1941 & Shipped out to Chicago on April 25th, 1941. Mr. Nelson purchased it and must have moved to California during the War Years. When New Cars started being built again, He most likely purchased a New Car and sold the Lincoln to my Uncle. The Car was Gray from the Factory, but my Uncle must have painted it Black, because I never saw it Gray. Original Interior was Red Leather & Tan Whipcord. Came with Firestone White Walls and Under Seat Heater (plus my Uncle added another one under the Driver's Seat). Car has been in storage for the last few years. Will need some TLC to bring Her back to life. I have collected a number of Spare Parts for Her, over the Years, like extra: Grilles, Headlight Rings, Donut Ring, and a lot of small parts. I have the original complete steering wheel but currently have a 1949 Wheel installed. The Original Radio Works! Have an electric Clock Installed but have the Original Clock which also works! Car is 12 Volts (converted when 460 was Installed). Will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the Lincoln by E Bay E Mail.
