You are buying a 1967 Mercedes Benz 230SL Pagoda Roadster only 185 ever made. This car has had a engine and transmission swap back in the 70's done correctly. As far as I can tell it is a 68/69 Ford 302 V8 with a Ford automatic transmission. Engine bay was not modified. Original engine and trans is long gone, so please do not ask. Car has been sitting for the last 3 years in a garage, since then I added fresh gas and cleaned up carb some. Engine sounds very strong with no knocks, car goes down the road very smooth and shifts great and stops and steers good & engine will stall out sometimes? I'm thinking old gas still? I did not drain the fuel tank. With the car stalling out sometimes and sitting so long I suggest trailering it home. I can help with delivery after car is fully paid for. Cost is $1.75 per loaded mile to almost anywhere in the U.S. Must call first. 419-344-5355 Newer convertible top, but back plastic window is discolored, nice hardtop comes with car. The only two gauges that do not work is the rpm & fuel. Oil pressure & amp & temp & speedo work fine. Windshield has a small chip all other glass seems to be nice. Body seems to be pretty nice, besides below rear bumpers as pictured. Floor pans & trunk pan & shock towers and all frame structure is real nice & solid, underside that is not structure has the typical rust . I am located 20 miles south of Toledo, Ohio.
