This 1977 Rockford Files Tribute car is as close as you are going to get to the real thing, right down to the side-molding and steering wheel! Beautiful original Universal Studios paint-matched exterior color, correct tan interior, and rebuilt gear-timed 455 big block sleeper car. This car starts right up, drives well and stops fast. The engine is a 1974 Pontiac big block which was rebuilt by a custom 2nd generation Pontiac shop, cleaned, repainted and installed. No expense was spared to get this engine purring; has duel exhaust with new seals, gaskets, radiator, belts and hoses. Interior is nice with new padding and bucket seat upholstery, nice headliner, new package tray, carpeting, mats and upgraded Deluxe steering wheel. Has a dash crack. Floor pans and trunk are solid. All lights work- alternator light comes on but it may be a short. The paint job is an older enamel job and has some rust bubbles and a few spots where paint was put on too heavy- see pics, but still looks great and will be stable for many years. Newer Firestone tires, restored Rally II wheels, good brakes. I did everything I could to make this as close to the real Rockford car that I could; I even had James Garner sign my driver's side sun-visor when I sent him images of the finished car -but that item I am keeping, sorry.
