1971 Mercury Cougar XR7. Nicely restored with a 325 HP, 351 Windsor rebuilt crate engine 4 barrel with an oversized cam (450 lift, 212 duration), Auto trans. Absolutely no rust anywhere on the body or underneath. Tires and brakes are new, front wheel disc brakes. Interior and the power top are excellent. Power windows and power driver seats work great. Upgraded stereo with CD and power amp. Original chrome wheels with new tires. New dual stainless steel exhaust. Sequential tail lights. Manufactured in Dearborn Mi. This is a sharp looking car that runs and sounds great. Carpet and leather seats are original. 68,000 original miles. All gauges work, gas, temp, alt, tachometer, speedometer, turn signal indicators, parking brake light. Power steering, power brakes. The car originally came with factory air, but when the 351 was replaced with a crate 351, the compressor was not reinstalled. Just add a compressor and you'll have AC. The convertible top was replace several years ago by someone that thought blue looked better than the original white. Wish I could agree, however it is a very good quality top with no leaks or tears. The original chrome wheels look new and the tires are new. Incidentally the horn is imbedded into the steering wheel and I still works like it should. Heat and air fan switch and controls work good. Transmission shifts smooth. This is really a nice looking car. It has been well maintained and stored in enclosed parking for many years. You can see a lot of pride of ownership in it. It comes with a matching cover for the convertible when it's down. Windshield looks new with no pits or scratches. All the glass looks good. Wipers work fine. All the lights including the dash lights work. Rear bumper has been re-chromed. Trunk is very clean and includes a brand new full size spare. Like previously indicated there is no rust anywhere on the car. The paint is a very high gloss quality paint job. I invite anyone to come and inspect and drive.
