The second and third owner were neighbors. To the best of my knowledge, the car has been in a garage most of its life. Mechanically, the car is rock solid and I have all the work records to show what I've done since buying it in June of 2013. The guy who did the work for me used to run the Z Club of NJ, so he knows every inch of these cars. He was shocked by its excellent original condition when I found it. The body is in very good condition. There is the slightest bit of rust beneath each door (which I tried to show in photos), but it is minimal. The paint is in good condition. To the best of my knowledge, it is the original paint. In any case, this car looks beautiful. Cosmetically, I added the tires, rims and steering wheel. Outside of that, the work I did was to get the car in tip-top running condition after sitting for a majority of time over the previous 20 years. Here is a partial list of that work I did when I bought it in 2013: --Belts (upper/lower radiator and heater, A/C, and one other I can't read); -- 9 stainless steel hose clamps --Brass Bushings in shifter --Sylvania Silver Star high-performance headlights --Replace oil pressure sending switch --4 OEM soft brake lines --Master cylinder --Replace 4 sway bar links --Clean & reset UDDC valve --Oil change- synthetic Amsoil --Flush cooling system 3x --Transmission & rear differential (Valvoline & Lucas conditioner, non-synthetic --Brake fluid flush (replace with Prestone Dot 3/4 synthetic/high boiling point 480degree fluid) --Flush clutch hydraulic system, refill with Prestone 480degree synthetic) --Tune up: Distributor cap, rotor, ignition wires, spark plugs-NGK copper, DCV valve, fuel/filter and connector hose, air filter and vacuumed out chamber. --Lubricate hood latch, hatchback and both doors I do not drive my Z's in rain. In winter, I start them at least once a month and occasionally drive them when pavement is dry. AC is inoperable. It wasn't worth the cost to me to fix it after I had invested in the above mentioned work. Radio turns on but is not worth turning on (electric antenna does work however). This is of little consequence because the best sound is listening to the engine. Seats are original vinyl and have no tears. Again dashboard is perfect and that is rare with these carsI love this car and it is hard to let go, but I'm looking to buy a condo and having three cars is too much. This Z turns heads everywhere. For what it's worth, I've owned the red ZX since it was new. The silver one gets a whole lot more attention on the road. Happy to answer questions. It's a beauty, you won't be disappointed. I will post a video as soon as possible, before the weekend is over.
