Price: US $7,500.00 SOLD OUT
I began by having it professionally outfitted with a brand new rebuilt motor, an 1800 long block with dual baby Weber carbs from a top-notch shop in San Diego called "Kline Volkswagen". The receipt in the photo details the work completed and totals to $4,308. At the same time I had a professional install new commercial grade KYB shocks and new tires. Since the installation of the motor, shocks, and tires - the bus has been driven about 200 miles. I then shipped the bus across country to my house in NJ to complete the remaining projects at my garage. I had new foam cushions installed on the back seats, and while continuing work, had installed a temporary non-matching black cover set, simply to protect them from dust, etc... The original seat material cover was carefully removed and will be included with this vehicle in the auction. I also will include an additional front push out "vent" window that I acquired while shopping for parts. I never had the opportunity to use the camping gear, but I'm told by the previous owner that it was in working condition. Aside from a tear in the tent material of the pop-top - the top is in working condition. There is a light warp on a small piece of the top which has not impaired it's functionality. The bed on top is still outfitted with the original material and cover. I didn't plan on replacing it because it appears barely used.
