Price: US $50,000.00 SOLD OUT
Okay, while there seems to be some confusion on exactly what this is. This is not your typical purpose-built, thrown together, bare minimum racecar. This is a meticulously built nut-and-bolt, rotisserie-restored show car that is street legal that was built to honor the drag cars of yesteryear. All chrome and stainless has been redone as well as the aluminum was stripped, straightened, polished and re-anodized. New everything bumper to bumper. The car is laser straight, professionally painted by me in my restoration shop. The underside of the car was epoxy primed, every seam was seam sealed and the same base coat/clear coat was applied to that. Every square inch of the outside of the car was professionally wet sanded, buffed and polished for that show quality appearance. With that being said, it is still a 511 ci 600 hp monster for a naturally aspirated pump gas engine. The attention to detail in this car far surpasses any car like this that was built back in the day. I hope this clarifies and answers anyone else's questions. If not, feel free to contact me. I built this car to spec according to the Mopar guidelines handed out to racers back in the day. Essentially, a Dick Landy '65 Dodge Coronet with a Lee Smith Plymouth paint job. The rear suspension is a super stock spring 4:10 gear Dana 60 moved forward 15 inches. Front suspension is a Speedway axle Wilwood disc brakes, Vega steering moved ahead 6 inches. Rules did not allow for engine setback so the Dodge guys moved the wheels forward. I cheated a little and moved the motor back approximately 2 inches from stock. I made everything period correct as possible. Radio and heater delete. Van seats. Winter shifter. Metal flake steering wheel. Red tint windows. Moon tach. Vintage wheels and tires, etc. The motor is a 511 ci Max Wedge, 440 block with 1964 top end, 10:1 compression ratio, pump gas, roller cam. Dynoed at 597 hp, 640 torque. Built 727 trans, 3000 stall converter, reversed valve body. Street legal-ish. Has mufflers and the lights work. Only a few hundred miles on it since completed. I drive it to the track once in awhile, have fun and then drive it home. Runs mid to upper 7's in the 1/8 mile. Reason for selling is wife wants a bigger house - one of the toys has to go! If you have any questions, please ask. Thanks, Gil Please do NOT contact me with solicitations to help sell my car!
