Classic MB-diesel and nearly everything in the car is functional. Its straight, very smooth running, no blue smoke and comfortable. Interior is nearly mint - exterior is in very good overall shape. This car turns-heads / thumbs-up everywhere it goes. 30/35mpg AND is very dependable. Many good spare parts included with sale (spare trans, new timing chain, fuel pump, flarrings, etc). Condition:- Great mechanically, starts up and drives smooth / straight. (forgetting this is a classic - as simply a spare car, this car is great)- Blows some black smoke when cold (pretty normal) but nothing after that and no blue smoke (oil)- Great Interior / very-good exterior - minus small areas of rust (worst is drivers-side lower rear quarter-panel) and a few small dings but do not take away from the beauty of the car.- At certain speeds a quiet bearing noise can be heard (Its NOT THE ENGINE - likely either transmission output shaft or axle carrier bearing). I have owned this car for 6 years and it has always been there but can't find any play in the system, no seepage and it hasn't gotten noticeably worse with time.Features:- A/C (converted to R134a) & heat, as noted the car needs a $0.50 schrader valve replaced and system refilled with Freon- Original (working) radio with aftermarket amp in rear- Power steering, power breaks (both optional that year)- Power locks (yes they work)- Rear defroster- Manual windows- Manual 4-spd trans- Compression still decent- ~0 oil consumption- Tires like new- Always garaged- Oil sweating very low for a dieselHistory:I have personally owned and maintained the vehicle for ~5.5 years.
