Price: US $21,600.00 SOLD OUT
1965 Sport Fury Convertible with mint condition convertible top and electric motor. Clean black interior with an updated sound system. All gauges and interior dash components function perfectly. Fresh shocks, Tires, New Brake System front and rear with new hydro boost brake system. New carb and tune up. All upgraded torsion bars and front end bushings. Power Steering pump is recently serviced and rebuilt. New radiator. New ignition system. Transmission was recently overhauled and serviced. New exhaust. New HydroBoost Brake System. The 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury, the brand's sportiest full-size offering. Exclusive to the Sport Fury, though optional on other models, were rear fender skirts. This Sport Fury came with V-8 power, the 4 barrel Commando 383 with a factory rated 330 (highly underrated number) HP. Plymouth noted that the Sport Fury convertible had an improved folding mechanism that worked silently and quickly at the touch of a switch. A brand new snap-on flexible boot covers the top when lowered. When up, the top looks slim and elegant, a snazzy complement to the square-cut lines of the body. The Sport Fury convertible was chosen as the pace car for the 49th annual Indianapolis 500 race in 1965, the first time that Plymouth had been so honored, a fitting tribute to the all-new 1965 full-size Plymouth line. Only 6,272 were built, plus 38,348 hardtops, making the Sport Furys the rarest full-size series for 1965. Make a reasonable offer. Car is currently in Los Angeles Garage.
