1972 Ford LTD Convertible 400. This car has been sitting in a shed out back for the better part of 5 years. The fuel is old but it runs and drives. The body is straight and it appears to be solid. No rust holes in the floorboards, trunk etc. All trim is present, the only thing missing is the passenger front turn lens. All glass is in good shape including the rear glass. The convertible top works, needs re-covered/replaced. Lights, turn signals, brakes work. The 400 runs fair, I rebuilt the Motorcraft 2 barrel, changed both fuel filters, and changed the oil. I replaced the water pump, new coolant. When I initially fired it up after new fluids, it was running rough and smoking (particularly out of the D/S bank) but the more fresh fuel it gets the better it runs. It's idling smoother now and the dual exhaust sounds good.The odometer reads 98XXX but I can't confirm original mileage. Disc brakes up front and the 9" rear looks/sounds good. Transmission fluid topped off with type F, seems to shift and go into reverse ok. Tires are old but hold air. Feel free to request more photos. Clear Colorado title and bill of sale.
