There's only 1943 made in the 500XL convertibles and I have two of them. First one is the red one that has 69,000 original miles. It has a 390ci and runs great. starts right up. Has a new rebuilt transmission, new interior. I put in a new Holley carbs, new convertible top, it has a newer power steering assist. car is a head turner. I take it out only two or three times a year. I have all receipt and documents for it. I really don't have much time for it. The car just needs to have some interior pieces put back on like the dash, interior panel in the back seat, A pillar trim pieces, convertible top is manual, but the green Fairlane has the hydraulics in it that still work. as far as the exterior the trim around the body and mirrors is not installed. I purchased the green Fairlane for some parts. the green Fairlane is the donor car. It has a 289ci and 101,000 originals that did start a year ago till the battery died. Transmission slips on the green Fairlane. I also has hundreds of parts that are worth thousands of dollars. Each of the trim parts are worth hundreds of dollars.(rare parts).
