This car was built on the first week of production of the 1967 Corvette. It was ordered new at Broncho Chevrolet in Odessa, Texas by a dad as a gift for his daughters high school graduation gift. She took the car to Wyoming after graduation where it lived for several years. It then ended up in Colorado for several years before landing here in Iowa. My client (Mr. Bailey) purchased the car about 23 years ago. He had the car judged by the NCRS 3 times (2 Chapter and 1 Regional) where it received Top Flight the first time out. He also took it to Bloomington Gold and received a Survivor Certification. Very little has changed on the car since those judged events. He drove the car less than 2500 miles in the 23 years he owned it. All of the service an maintenance has been done here in my shop. The original rear calipers were removed and replaced in 2017. I gave them back to him and they are still with the car. The exhaust is original. The car was originally equipped with white stripe tires. He installed the Redline radials last fall and are like new. The car runs and drives excellent. AC blows cold. Clock tics. Original radio is in a box.The paint is 55 years old and looks it. There's been a repair (a long time ago) around the right headlight. The paint was blended and doesn't appear any panels were replaced. Paint was blended in. Other than that I believe the paint is all original. It does have several flaws and imperfections, but outside in natural light looks very nice from 10 feet. Under indoor (tube LED or fluorescent) lights the flaws and imperfections are much more obvious. The shiny parts (bumpers, moldings, lamps, handles, emblems) are all original. They have excellent fit but lack the shine of "new". This a Top Flight Survivor that with a little effort could be taken to the next level.I have the original sales invoice, protecto-plate, owners manual packet, keys, service records back to '67 and all the judging sheets and certificates.
