This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle encapsulates that popularity very well, with added SS trim, a mildly built 350 engine and other targeted enhancements, all of which coalesce in a timeless package that looks just as contemporary today as it would have 20 or 30 years ago.The car is in excellent condition, with no rust, no leaks and no known drivability issues. Under the hood is a 350-cu.in. V-8 , 1,200 miles on a rebuild that includes a Weiand aluminum intake manifold, a Holley four-barrel carburetor and GM electronic ignition. There is also a set of Edelbrock chrome valve covers, The stock engine-driven fan has been replaced with a pair of electric fans mounted to the radiator. This Chevelle underwent a color change to black, but the age of the paintwork is unknown (the trim tag indicates the car was originally Antique White). Along with the black paint, white SS stripes, an SS grille and SS emblems were added. Inside, there’s a black vinyl interior with bucket seats and a console. The seller reports having both front bucket seats rebuilt and reupholstered in the past year, as well as the rear bench seat. This Chevelle’s chassis and suspension are in good condition, with no known issues or needs with the power-steering system, suspension components or brake system. Driving performance is very good, with no excessive play noted in the steering and no vibrations on the highway. The car wears Chevy steel sport wheels wrapped with Grand Am Radial GT tires.
