This 1976 land cruiser was started as a custom build several years ago, but the restoration stalled when the master mechanic was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and it now needs to find a good home. My mother's partner passed in December, and I am assisting his client sell the FJ. All the interior and body pieces were disassembled in order to be taken to a body shop for media blasting, any further body work and paint.The frame is a 1976 FJ-40 with an Advanced Handling steering kit installed. An early model tub was purchased, as the pre 1975 tubs are thicker gauge steel and are less prone to rust. This is an amazing example, and any rust areas were cut out and replaced with metal. There is no filler in this tub. You can see where the original factory welds are throughout this truck. The owner also upgraded the engine to a FJ-60 motor that accommodates factory power steering mounts on the head. It ran great when it was installed. I can send additional phots of the truck. I have 40 or so more.There are two transmissions and transfer cases, an OEM Toyota tailgate, full roll cage, hard top (needs work), two front bibs, multiple transmission covers, and a full 1979/1980 FJ40 wiring harness. The harness has everything attached - instrument cluster, knobs, switches, lights, fan blower relay and fuse box. Two sets of seats are included. The rear end is tight with no play when engaged.
