Wheelbase: 147 in.This Seven-Passenger Limousine, style number 735, that has a divider window and was built on Packardâs longest, most prestigious 11th series chassis, the 147-inch wheelbase1108. Despite this modelâs status as one of the most expensive factory-bodied Packardâs sold in 1934, fewer than 14 survivors are known, as many were scrapped during World War II or used as parts cars. This Packard was purchased in1953 by its current family (see copy of title) as well as a 1934 La Baron Speedster one of 4 built. The Speedster was shown at the 1934 Worldâs Fair and was originally owned by Douglas Fairbanks Sr. The limousine was put into storage and remained so until the late 1990âs. The limousine and Speedster were sent to La Vine Restorations, Inc. in Nappanee, Indiana for full restorations. Both cars were painted in matching colors. The La Baron Speedster was shown at Pebble Beach Concours dâElegance and came in 2nd in class. The limousine was never shown post restoration and went into storage where it remained until recently. The odometer shows approximately 40 miles on it since restoration. The original odometer read 31,200 prior to restoration. The car has always been stored in a climate-controlled garage. The last time the car was started and washed and cleaned was about 5 years ago which are the pictures taken outside. The condition of the car today is as seen in the pictures. It needs a good wash and a little TLC to bring it back to show condition. The rubber running boards should be replaced as they have deteriorated. The car is almost ready for show and could be on the road with minimal work. The car is being sold AS-IS in Richmond, Virginia. The cost of the restoration today would be in excess of $500,000. The restoration was done by one of the finest Packard restoration specialists in the United States (La Vine Restorations, Inc.) with attention to every detail.
