I am listing my 1968 Pontiac GTO. I received this car in a trade and do not know a lot of the history on the car. This is what I do know. It is a REAL GTO with a 24237 Vin number. If you are looking for a numbers matching original car, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! This is a HIGHLY MODIFIED street legal Hot Rod Drag Car. No power steering, no power brakes, no heater. The following is a detailed description of this GTO: BODY: This is a Rust Free California GTO. Hood and nose are Fiberglass. Car is straight and should not take too much to get it ready to paint. It is primer black as it sits. GLASS: All windows are Lexan plastic except driver door glass. This includes windshield and back window. I do however have all new GLASS that goes with the car. ENGINE: 455 cubic inch Pontiac V8. Equipped with ported Aluminum Heads, Demon carb, Headers with very loud Flowmaster style mufflers. Solid metal motor mounts (have orig rubber mounts if wanted). 200hp Nitrous system. Mini starter. Fuel cell with electric fuel pump. Alum radiator with dual electric fans. Breather system. TRANSMISSION. Has a built Turbo 400 with reverse manual valve body and trans brake. Have receipt for transmission that states trans was built to handle 700hp. Has special shifter. BRAKES: Manual brakes with stock rear drums and Wilwood “Light†disc brakes in front. REAR END: 411:1 posi rear with sway bar and air bag on passenger side only. WHEELS AND TIRES : Currently has a 14†x 7†Pontiac Rally wheels with 215 70/14†tires. All wheels have extra long ½†diameter wheel studs. ELECTRONICS: Has trunk mounted battery. Also has master shut off switch mounted behind rear license plate. Lights work. No wipers INTERIOR: Has roll bar. Non original front bucket seats. No rear seat. Comes with Alum racing seat. All custom gauges that all work except speedo.. No headliner. CONCLUSION: This car is not for everybody. My plan was to make the car more of a street car. I figured I would list it for sale before I started the transformation. Car starts ,runs, drives and stops but is very very loud with the exhaust and solid mounts.
