Welcome. You are bidding on a 1974 Porsche 914 with a 283 Chevrolet V8 built by Rod Simpson in the 1980's. I have a folder of past receipts, invoices, literature and a Clean North Carolina title from the previous owner. Please let me know if you have any questions.Exterior: This car was originally white from the factory and has been repainted red. The paint has its blemishes here and there and looks good from about 20 feet. This car does not show any signs of an accident, but it does have some spots of rust here and there (as shown in the pictures). Interior: The interior has a nice cluster of gauges, original seats and dash. The steering wheel is missing the nut that properly attaches it. Engine/Transmission: This engine starts right up and sounds great. The Edlebrock carb has been recently gone through. The tail shift transmission does have some issues with the syncros or perhaps an adjustment. This car idles and revs smoothly. This car has a new battery.Wheels/Brakes: This car has a nice set of ATS wheels and Kuhmo tires. It has the bigger BMW front brakes. The rear brakes tend to stick from the car sitting for a period of time.Overall: This is a great chance to get into a 914 conversion. This was believed to have been done by Rod Simpson in the 1980's and was done correctly. It needs some minor tinkering/parts to make it a good driving car. The fuel tank filler neck/cap needs to be screwed down.
