This Scout is super rare since 1980 was the last year they made the Scout but the only year they had the option of the Nissan Turbo Diesel motor (very small amount released in 1979). All Scouts had a design flaw where they rusted in certain areas, below is a detailed scope of work that was completed with this project: Body – Driver/passenger floor pans, diamond plate rear floor, drive/passenger floor supports, drive/passenger inner pillars, drive/passenger front body mount and wedge kits, all new body screws, 8 sets of body bushings (entire Scout), driver/passenger outer rear quarter panel gussets, driver/passenger kick plates, driver/passenger inner rocker panels, driver/passenger outer rocker panels, rocker corner post dog legs (front and rear both sides), driver/passenger splash panel inner gussets, all new weather seals for (brand new) windshield, doors, tailgate and glass. Mechanical - New Clutch plate, alternator re-build, brakes (complete rebuild of rear brake drums, new rotors and pads for front), fuel sending unit, completely rebuilt steering box, new drag bar, new sway bar and ends, steering stabilizer, fuel filter, oil filter, and oil. Suspension - All new 4†suspension and shocks from Rough Country, 2†shackle kits, 1†body lift. Interior - Carpet removed and all floors sprayed with bed liner, original seats and back bench designed with two-tone leather, dash with two-toned leather, side door inserts with two-toned leather (all matching), original center console, front instrument cluster sprayed with bed liner, and interior walls and tailgate sprayed with bed liner, new window felts, wireless head unit w/4 new 6x9s and 1200 watt amp, new front seat belts, rear retained, custom gear shifter diamond plate. Exterior - Bushmaster oversized fender flares, modern driver & passenger mirrors, custom bumpers (front & rear) with 1200llb Rugsel winch (2 hardwired/1 wireless remote), custom LED head lights w/custom grill (1980 was the only year the scout II came with plastic grill, there is a 1979 with custom insert on this scout), LED taillights and restored original “DIESEL†metal decals, All Country Ironman mud tires 35/12.5/R20 with Fuel custom 20†rims, new t-glass rear window handle, new muffler/exhaust and piping.
