This is my 1972 Ford E-200 Econoline Super Van, named Earl. It was originally purchased by my great grandmother in 1973 in Hutchinson Kansas, my Grandfather drove it after she passed, my Mother drove it when she couldnt afford a vehicle and I have owned it for about 10 years now. The original dealer sticker is still visible on the back of the van. The only time he has been wrecked was my grandfather backing into his boat trailer too hard and my mom got a bit road ragey in McDonalds drive through one night on the front bumper.I have used this van to move to college, pull a racecar, countless first dates and lots of late night cruising. But, it is come time for us to part and let someone else start their new adventure with him.About 2014 I drug Earl out of the weeds in Kansas and brought him to Oklahoma to rebuild and start him new. Over about two years I replaced 75% of the floor pan, door jams, complete wiring harness, swapped a 400 hp 351W with AOD transmission, new breaks, suspension, wheels and tires, windsheild, trans cooler, 41 gallon fuel tank and fuel lines, every rubber hose, wiring connector, nut and bolt I removed...the list is just endless. The interior is coated in Lizard Skin, then Rubber sound deadener, then jute sound deadener. The doghouse has the same except a layer of high temp so protect you from the heat of the headers. The driving experience is quiet, except for the rumble from the exhaust. When I moved to Texas I jumped in, started him up and headed 300 miles south without any issue. I would drive this van through hell itself without a blink of the eye. Runs great, sounds better, shifts smooth, stops like a van with 4 wheel drums and will catch every eye and thumbs up on the road. The only thing you would have to do is finish body work and paint, and some interior finishing up. All the hard work has been done. Just buy him, you wont regret it!
