This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 210 has a special story like most Classics. My wife and I married in 1960. We drove away in a 1955 Bel Air that had it all back then so after 60 years of searching, I finally found a match. During my long search, I only found three matching our car. One was completely a mess, the others were customized beyond return. I found this one in California . It had been put into storage in 1962 and found by a Collision Service owner who totally restored. Body off, restored frame. wiring, new dash, all new chrome were purchased and replaced. Complete body renewal (Collision owner knew his stuff). New white walls and original hub caps added to originality, New Radiator and hoses. Nothing was left undone. When shipping company delivered, driver said that he had never seen a nicer restoration. The only difference in the Bel Air and the Bel Air 210 is the emblems. They can be added.The first thing I always do is change all fluids, filters and lubrication. Everything was top notch. I drove it for about a week just around town. I heard a low knock in engine, so called previous owner. He had bought a completely rebuilt engine and installed. I still did not like sound, so soon pulled and rebuilt engine with new gas tank, fuel lines and new carburetor. That fixed the sound and it drives much better with zero time 265 factory engine. A $10,000 fix.I have developed some health problems and must sell my collection. Displayed in my AC hangar, it is by far the best restored car that I have owned. Everything is Factory original with exact color combination. You can inspect the 55 in Sulphur Springs, Texas 80 miles East of Dallas. I recently decided to recalibrate instruments.
