This 1955 Plymouth Belvedere convertible has been refinished in black over a custom red interior, and it is powered by a 360ci V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and an 8¾â rear end. The exterior has been shaved, nosed, and decked, and features include a black soft top, 17â³ wheels, a Mustang II front end with rack-and-pinion steering, front disc brakes, front air suspension, a four-barrel Holley carburetor, AutoMeter gauges, an aftermarket stereo, and Vintage Air climate control. The current owner acquired the car in 2016, and approximately 5k miles have since been added. This modified Belvedere is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean California title.The body is said to have been removed from the frame and the door handles were shaved, the emblems and some trim were removed, and custom headlights and taillights were fitted. The exterior was refinished in black with custom pinstriping, and a black canvas soft top has been installed.Polished 17â³ American Racing wheels with spinner center caps are mounted with Kumho Solus KH25 tires. A Ford Mustang IIâtype front suspension has been installed and utilizes rack-and-pinion steering, tubular control arms, and power-assisted disc brakes. The rear axle has a four-bar setup and drum brakes, and the lowered ride height utilizes airbags up front and rear air shocks.The interior has been redone and features a split-folding front bench seat with red upholstery, a matching rear bench, red carpeting and mats, and sculpted door panels. Vintage Air climate control has been added along with an aftermarket stereo and controls for the air-ride system. A custom console for the shifter has also been installed.A three-spoke Lecarra steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column. AutoMeter instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and four auxiliary gauges that extend across the dash. The mechanical odometer shows 5k miles, which is said to reflect the mileage added by the current owner. True chassis mileage is unknown.The 360ci Chrysler V8 is said to have been rebuilt and utilizes forged pistons, an aftermarket crankshaft, a four-barrel Holley carburetor on an Edelbrock intake manifold, tubular headers that feed a dual exhaust system, and an aluminum radiator with electric fans. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and an 8¾â rear axle.
