1963 Austin Healey 3000 MKII BJ7 with Factory Overdrive This is a tidy example of the first year of the roll-up window Big Healeys. Car was concourse restored and judged silver in 2009 by the AHCA, and has been driven approximately 2,000 miles since. During the body off, nut-and-bolt restoration, the car was fitted with all new rockers, floor, outriggers and trunk floor. The engine and transmission were gone through, and found to be in good repair. Clutch assembly was replaced. Ignition was fitted with Pertronix for trouble free use. Carbs are in a good state of tune. Battery was replaced with a new option unit in 2021. During the restoration, the interior was addressed, and it features leather seats and wool carpets, as well as a new convertible top. All the gauges are in working order. The entire brake system was rebuilt, as was the fuel system- during which time an alloy fuel tank was fitted. New wire wheels and hubs were also installed. Rear leaf springs were just replaced with UK made units. In its current state, this is a very nice driver. There is a scratch here and there, and a small dent on right rear fender. The car runs well, shifts and stops properly, and the overdrive works as it should. This is a car that can be driven and enjoyed. Included with the sale is a tonneau cover that needs to be fitted to the car. The car also includes the British Heritage Certificate, which documents the numbers related to manufacture, such as engine and frame, to be correct and original. I will also include the correct tools including the knockoff hammer and the original and hard to find jack. This car has never been offered for public sale before.
