This can be your cool Daily Driver as of right now! I drive it all over the area instead of my gas-guzzling Grand Marquis. The brakes are excellent...no pull to either side...Transmission Synchros are smooth in all 4 gears...90W gear oil topped off. I changed the spark plugs, motor oil, adjusted the valves and cleaned and adjusted the carburetor. This is also an excellent candidate for restoration as the expensive problems such as Floor Corrosion, Body Rust, Frame Rot, Engine/Transmission Damage do not exist. PHOTOS OF THE UNDERSIDE SHOW UNDER-COATING flaking off... NOT HOLES.The previous owner drove it daily from 2013 - 2019 as it had Pennsylvania Safety Inspection and repairs to meet the inspections done. It is a desirable 1974 German-built VW Beetle. 74 is the best year for a Classic if you want to drive it. Safety wise it has Retracting shoulder belts, 5 MPH bumpers, Largest tail lights, Flow-thru ventilation, Dual circuit brakes with fluid warning light. 1975 had complex, unreliable fuel injection that is very expensive to repair (the brain-box is probably over $2,000 and must be purchased used).This year has the Highest HP engine (60 HP) ever in a Beetle. The intake manifold is design for use with Dual Port Heads. The Aluminum Engine Alloy is a Stronger, heat resistant type. It came with Helicoil inserts from the factory built in for the head bolt rods.I won 2 Ebay auctions of 1974's... The other was an $18,500 Super Beetle that I paid too much for and now own it.
