Looking for a cool piece of history, this is it!The exterior shows very elegantly the L331 original HORIZON BLUE color and matching the birth certificate.Last year(1957) of the OVAL window 1192 cc flat-four air-cooled 'boxer' engine OEM 6 volts engine 36HPPeriod correct SMF/VW semaphore turn signals. EURO had them 'till 1960 and from May 1955 no export for Canada/USA had semaphores. This bug was made for EU market initially ship to Germany from VW factory and eventually imported into America. Semaphores were restored by the best out there to OEM specs(M.Ross).Rotisserie/pan-off restored New Interior OEM fenders with inside ribs which is hard to find Brakes all completely overhauled Matching body/chassis/birth cert Engine rebuilt and runs beautifully Transmission shifts perfect VW Germany Origin/birth certificate in hands Stainless steel rack/wooden slots with 5 coats of polyurethane varnish OEM horn/Hella tail lights and so on..Fuel Tank is 53-54 with clean inside and shinny outside. Cooling fan was balance to 4000 rpm. I did many rides of 250 miles and more. Engine run very smoothly. Carburetor butterfly shaft is rolling on 2 viton o-rings; no gaz will never leak from the shaft. Many details were added to the car during the built. Car was wet sanded 2500 grit and the polish is extremely good. I know what come and go on OldBug and Samba. Price is set for sell. I would do 3000 miles and more trip with the car without any worry. The rolling diamond is holding back the next project and need to go. 1957 is largely considered to be the final year of the 'classic' VW Beetles, and finding one that's still alive, let alone completely restored like this beauty, is quite rare.
