This Jeep was registered in the state of New York when we purchased it on eBay in 2013, eBay item #190835196625, which was offered at an asking price of $7,500. We had it shipped to California but our state DMV rejected the pink slip the sellers signed over to us (see copy in Photos) because it said the NY registration VIN number didnât seem to match the numbers on the Jeep panel. The previous eBay sellers said they would find the needed documentation for us but apparently didnât succeed and the California DMV said we would need to go through the Highway Patrol to get a new VIN in order to get a new pink slip for our company, which purchased it: Newport Bay Management LLC. A state other than California might be less stringent, but we didnât really need the documentation since the Jeep was only to be used as a prop, sitting on the sales floor of our Army-Navy Surplus tenant. Now the tenant has gone out of business so weâre putting it up for sale, although since the DMV didn't return the New York ownership certificate so we can now only provide a copy of it plus a bill of sale with our ownership guarantee. When it was delivered to us almost two years ago I drove it a block from the delivery truck to its blocks on the sales floor and it seemed to run pretty good.
