1960 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight (Copper/Tan)

Price: US $8,500.00 SOLD OUT

I have owned her for a little over a year. It was bought new, in Denver, by a guy and it was his baby until he passed away a few years ago. His son sold it at an estate auction to a guy who had a lot of projects going on and he decided to liquidate. That's when I bought it. I would consider myself pretty much the 2nd owner. I have never minded 4 doors and most folks tell me this is one of the only cars that looks better with 2 extra doors. This car grabs a TON of attention at shows and daily driving. I have all the original paper work from the dealer including service coupons and manual. This car has that original owners tools in the trunk, still, and the spare key to his house that he kept on a chain in the engine bay!The good: Survivor car, all original. Car was repainted in the 70's the orig color and reupholstered at the same time again to orig specs. The back of the front seat is actually original. Car runs great, I drove it for 2 weeks once every day and had no issues. New break lines, wheel cylinders, valve cover gaskets, sway links/bushings. This car has not rotted in a garage, I have driven it at least a couple times a week since I've owned it. Solid trunk, floorsThe bad:Small oil leak, small power steering leak. There are a few rust issues that are common on these cars (see pics) they make patch panels and the spots are in relatively flat areas (floors are solid and most of the factory undercoat is still intact). The blinkers on the dash are backwards but are correct on the outside and they work. If the car does sit for 3-4 days it takes a bit of pumping to get her started. Once started she runs fine. Small vacuum leak under dash. Speedometer/odometer stopped working shortly after the original owner's death.Specs:371 ci V8Hydramatic transmission (was factory upgrade)Around 82,000 original milesRelatively new radial tiresPower steeringPower brakesI bought a project and am selling this to put money into that project. I wish I could afford to keep both :)
