This is not your typical restored Firebird. This Striking car shows much attention to authenticity and detail, including an extremely straight body with show-quality paint that has been highly polished for a gorgeous finish. Many NOS parts were used in the restoration and the body panels, gaps, door jambs, light lenses and chrome trim are all excellent. The engine compartment includes factory finishes, markings, tags and inspection marks. The well sorted drivetrain is totally rebuilt and will set you back in the seat. The nice deep throaty sound of the 400 through the headers and Flowmaster exhaust is music to the ears! This Firebird accelerates the way it should, the suspension holds the road very comfortably without squeaks and rattles and it holds the road well when taking turns even with the polyglass tires. The correct WZ coded 400 is totally rebuilt and topped with a new Quadrajet, it runs very smooth and is a strong performer mated to the 4-speed and Saf-T-Track posi-traction with 3.90:1 axle. The floor boards are mostly original sheet metal and are very nice showing no evidence of repair, they still have factory rustproofing from new and all of the panels and spot welds are solid factory steel. The underbody was cleaned and recoated with chassis black. This is not new undercoating that has been sprayed on to cover up problems. The frame and all components are excellent and clean showing no signs of corrosion or previous damage. Everything in the Interior is restored as new fitted with the original color Parchment Interior that complements the Carousel Red exterior very nicely. All of the interior components are in beautiful condition including the steering wheel, dash, instrument bezel and the woodgrain trimmed console with Hurst 4-speed shifter.It has nice options including, Firebird 400 package, Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes, Original Space Saver Spare, T-3 Headlights, Wheel opening moldings, Hood Tach, Posi-Traction and perfect Rally 2 Wheels with new Firestone wide oval tires. I have North Carolina receipts going back to 1980 for previous owners and the history of the car. Everything on the car works as it should as far as I know with the exception of the AM Radio and the clock.I have made every effort to represent this vehicle accurately to the best of my knowledge.
