Bread of necessity, the Series 3 featured a high-performance V12 manual transmission to compensate for the weight added when conforming to the North American market’s strict emissions control standards. The result was a success.   The indelible classic E-type Jaguar Series 3 was not only affordable for many, but also drove with more power and more torque, while still boasting the same, though slightly modified, the elegant aerodynamic long-body design that Heynes and Sayer will always be remembered for. Featured here is a fine original example, with a surprisingly original Cinnamon leather interior that has been well preserved, still taut and proudly boasting its original patina.  The exterior paint in original color Sable is beautiful, thanks to a recent paint correction which has restored the rich lustre of this uniquely 70’s-era tone of brown.  The vehicle appears to have had a professional repaint at some point that was carefully protected and preserved thereafter. Only one minor paint imperfection is visible on the rear trunk lid. Original books, operating manual, tool kit, and service records showing $11,000 of maintenance since 2006.  The vehicle has been test driven and received service to the fuel pump, with oil and filter change while in our possession.  This is a great driver’s quality Series 3 E-Type Roadster.  Please refer to the pictures for more details, including engine and under-carriage photos.   For more information, please feel free to call us at 317-603-7131.     Additional Photos click on a thumbnail to view full-size photos Dealership Information Abreu Motors LLC Main Phone: (317) 843-3810 Alt.
