1958 MG MGA (Oxblood/Black)

Price: US $14,000.00 SOLD OUT

This car has always been in the Sacramento area--the license plate frames are from Sacramento dealer Newton Cope and body rust is not an issue on this car. I've owned the car since 2001 and was told that there were two owners before me. The car runs a "B" engine (18GA-U-H3683), rear end and I changed the SUs to a Weber carb in 2002. The car always starts for me and runs robustly! (I still have the SUs, if desired.) The fuel pump is fairly new, replaced about 5 years ago. The car received a top overhaul in 2001 and the transmission was rebuilt at that time. Car has been kept garaged as long as I've owned it and I drive it maybe 250 miles/year. Mileage indicated above (100,000 miles) is estimated. I am selling it as storage has become an issue and we also have an Austin Healey in the family... The body is pretty straight and the doors close nicely. There are a couple of small dents and a gouge near the rear bumper but everything is pretty superficial. The car currently has original-style bias ply tires. The antenna was broken off and needs replacement. Radio reception is still ok, however. There is a non-stock speaker that was installed ages ago but it works. The fuel gauge has never worked as long as I've had the car and the turn signals don't work properly. The odometer and speedometer don't work but the tachometer, oil pressure and oil temp gauges do. The car has a tonneau but no top or top frame. The "MG" grille badge/hood ornament fell off recently and has not been replaced. Lap belts and a radio with cassette player and 3.5mm line-in were installed around 2001 or 2002. The rear seals need some attention and leak. The paint is oxidized. The interior carpets have seen better days. I purchased a set of painted 48-spoke 15" wire wheels (but no hubs or knock offs) but never used them, they come with the car as does a set of chrome trim rings (never installed) for the original disc wheels. I also have a number of miscellaneous new parts that were ordered but never installed. I have a set of passenger side floorboards (used but in decent condition) that come with the car, the drivers' side were replaced about 6 months ago. I will send the aftermarket car cover with the car. I will also includ a set of sidecurtains that I purchased on Ebay years ago but these are not in good condition. Thank you for looking, I would love this car to find a good home, it's always treated me well!
