This is a 1962 Ford Galaxy 500, 406cid 405HP, 4 speed, 4:11 car! THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY, THE TITLE IS MISSING. If this is a problem for you, PLEASE DON'T BID!! This is a true g-code 406, as pictured below, the trim tag plate VIN and the frame stamped VIN match.The car is actually in pretty good shape. The drivers front floor pan, and passenger rear floor pan will need replaced. The passenger front floor pan has a pinhole in it. There's a small spot on the passenger side c pillar of the roof (pictures included), other than that it's solid. The trunk floor is very nice shape, as is the rocker panels and body mounts. As shown in the picture I do have the seat frames, but they are rough. All the glass has been broken out of it except the passenger rear side glass.It does appear that the front clip was replaced at some point, because there are no holes for the 406 emblems, but has no visible structural damage. Unfortunately, I do not have a whole lot of history on this car other than it's been sitting in a private collection for many years And there is a dealer sticker on the trunk lid from Sweet Home, Oregon. However, with having no DSO number, no power steering or brakes, 4:11 gears, and being Corinthian White, with Red interior, I'm guessing the boys at Ford built this car with the intention of it being driven 1/4 mile at a time! With that being said, and to avoid answering a bunch of questions, I do not believe this car is one of the missing lightweight cars, simply because it was built at the Twin Cities Minnesota plant, has a heater and other things a lightweight would not have.This car deserves a proper restoration. 406 cars don't grow on trees!! The 63 XL in the pictures behind it is also a G code and I can't afford to build both of them.
