Vehicle Details 1965 Galaxy 500 Convertible,289 V8, cruise-o-matic automatic, axle 3.00:1,charcoal green original color, black interior, built in DeMoine. The car needs a new convertible top. Up and down lift mechanism works good. All glass intact. Dash not cracked. We think the 80k is real, as we got oil change receipts from the 90’s with 60k. The cars runs and drives good. Brakes s little spongy. No tranny slip or skip. Engine runs good, a little blow by out the PCV breather. I have a new ignition switch, not installed. I jump it at the solenoid to start. Trunk and doors already matched to new keys. Body has new quarters all ready done, need some grinding and floating, and paint. (Or just drive it) It’s not rusty like where I come from see pictures underneath. Very solid. Trunk pictures and jams show it. Interior is intact, but needs replacing. Power steering, no AC. Tires OK ish. I love old Galaxy’s, and have a couple. I wanted a convertible, but decided if I’m going to do a car all up and love it, I want a 4 speed.
