I used this car for autocross for many years until the local PCA stop doing the events a couple of years ago. It was a lot of fun and even a class winner, of course not many 914's show up so it's not hard to win the class! The owner before me also autocrossed the car and it has stickers from several events, so it's seen some fun. The car has been sitting in my barn for a couple of years. I pulled it out of the barn a few weeks ago, put a new battery in it and it cranked up and drove up and down the street. But it's been sitting so is running rough, please watch the video to see what I'm talking about.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gExakyYuGxAThe original color of the car looks to be Willow Green (paint code L63K) so a nice 70's period color, which is always a stand out with all the reds at an event. The car is set up with dual Weber carbs and looks to be a 1.7 engine. The targa top is included but is cracked in a couple of spots, looks like it might have flown off the car one day, we've all seen that happen, but it is included. The car itself is rough with old rust repairs, bad paintwork, and overall tiredness. Like I said, it was a weekend racer that was driven hard and it shows. Could the car be brought back to a nice car, sure, and now that 914's are going up in value it would be a good looking car when restored, but you're a long way from that now.
