CarMex LLC  Daniel Croft | Sales Manager(972) 379-9376daniel@carmexsales.com1966 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACKThis 1966 Ford Mustang fastback is fresh from a full tear-down and rebuild that included fitment of a built 425 inch Windsor stroker, Tremec TKO 4550 5-speed transmission, big Baer brakes, coil-over suspension with Konis, new paint, and new interior. Described as very fast and comfortable for street use, it was professionally built with all new, high quality components throughout. The seller says he has over $100k invested in the car and has set his reserve far below that mark. The car was professionally resprayed and the finish presents very nicely with minimal stone chipping or other signs of use. The black and red LeMans stripes are strikingly different than the typical blue, and remind us of some of the European based FIA fastbacks that we have seen on track.  Wheels are two-piece 17” x 8” PS Engineering items, which in combination with a well-judged ride adjustment give the car a nice stance. These aren’t some lame catalog billet resto-mod wheels… PS Engineering custom builds the best Torque Thrust style wheels for many of the noted vintage racers in Group 6. Note also the trans-am style lug nuts, original black and yellow license plates, Ray-Dot spun aluminum mirror, side-exit exhaust, and deleted emblems.  The cabin received equal attention with all-new carpets, upholstery, gauges and trim. A LeCarra leather-wrapped steering wheel sits in front of a custom round gauge cluster. The chassis has been stiffened with in-floor front-to-rear subframe connectors in order to better handle the power increase as well as provide clearance for the full three-inch, ceramic-coated exhaust system.  Power moves rearward through a 10.5 lb. billet flywheel and heavy-duty Tremec TKO 4550 5-speed onward through a custom-made aluminum driveshaft, 3.25 geared limited slip differential and Currie 31 spline axles. Brakes consist of Baer 13” Baer racing slotted rotors and big calipers at all four corners. Handling is tight thanks to gusseted A-arms, Aldan Eagles front shocks, coilovers and adjustable swaybar in front, while the rear is held up via five leaf, reverse eye springs with adjustable Konis. Fueling is via a 16 gallon, trunk-mounted Fuel Safe cell, and the big 425 is kept cool with a 31” cross-flow aluminum radiator and 16” Spal electric fan.Condition: UsedYear: 1966Make: Ford Model: Mustang Fastback Mileage: 2200Fuel Type: GasVIN: 6R09T205929Engine: 8 CylinderTransmission: Manual Interior color: Black Exterior color: White
