Iwill have better photos soon, unless it sells before that. For sale is a 1965 Mercedes 220SE convertible. I would like to mention that it’s a realconvertible. NOT a conversion. The car needs to be fully restored. I have not started the engine, because Idon’t know how long it sat and I don’t want to cause damage. The engine does turn. It’s a safe bet to assume the engine and thedifferential need to be rebuilt. I knowa local engine builder that does excellent work for about $12,000. He recently rebuilt the motor on my otherMercedes 250SE. The body is straight. The doors open and close easily. All the panels seem original to the car.The car is completely dry. There’s only one small rust spot under the rear seat. Must have had a leak from the convertible topat some point. Everything else is rustfree. That’s very rare for these cars,because they have a strong tendency to rust, especially in the rockers,quarters, and spare tire area in the trunk. For and additional cost. I have about $18,000 worth of new parts for this car which isvery hard to come by. Mercedes and mostEuropean car parts are very hard to source. I will be willing to sell these parts for an addition cost.
