Up for sale is my 1979 Cadillac Phaeton with 10,414 documented original miles. This beautiful automobile was originally purchased from Chris Cadillac in Providence, Rhode Island, in April, 1979. It stayed with the original family until October 31,1998, which at the time the odometer displayed 2,765 original miles.For those who may not be familiar with the Phaeton model, only 1,832 custom Phaetons were built in 1979. They were available in three color combinations and came in both two and four door models. The 1979 models were the last to be equipped with the 425 c.i.d., 7.0 liter V-8, and the first year to feature a digital radio/clock, overhead map lights, and pleasant-sounding reminder chimes. The special edition package included the convertible-like fabric top, leather seating, leather wrapped steering wheel, lock-on wire wheel covers, brushed chrome coach lamps, and Phaeton script on the rear quarter panels. It is an absolute stunning all original car which is in exceptional condition. It has been stored under cover, in a climate controlled garage it's entire life and has never seen rain. The original paint on the laser straight body is in supreme condition along with all the chrome and stainless steel on the car. The rear fillers have been replaced with urethane replacements like the factory, professionally painted to match along with hand painted stripe to perfectly match original. The exterior of the car is flawless with no scratches, dings, or chips. There is a minor blemish on the bottom of the trunk lid where the bottom molding sits. Appears to be a flaw from the factory. It has been there for many years. The fabric top and stitching is in perfect condition.The undercarriage and engine compartment are super clean and dry with no rust whatsoever. The interior is in perfect condition, like the day it left the dealer and still smells like new. The original floor mats have always been covered over. The tires are not the original but are correct white wall size and in excellent condition. The hubcaps are also flawless. This Cadillac starts, runs, and drives like it looks. It is an absolute time capsule and a perfect addition to a serious Cadillac collector. All the power options work perfectly, including the AC, radio, power antenna, etc. The original AM/FM digital radio was removed and replaced with a factory cassette model. It comes with the original radio in the box. Comes with all original paperwork, window sticker, maintenance records, books, manuals, documentation, etc. It doesn't get any better than this.
