Scant purchasing and online recordsindicate an older complete “body-off†restoration from Corpus Christi, Texas. There has been less than a couplethousand miles put on this vehicle since 2005. All dash lights, signals function properly.Excellent two-tone “Dover White†over “Cherokee Red†paint, chrome/stainlessfinishes, and glass.The Buick Century 322 CID V-8 “Fireball†engine was the more powerful Roadmaster drivetrain placed in the lighter Special chassis. Buick’s 1955 advertising proclaimed, "The Hottest Buick in History!†producing 236 HP with 330 FT. LBS. of torque. The Century name came from the Buick being thefirst GM factory car to sustain 100 MPH or greater in test runs. The rugged Fireball “Nailhead†engines were modified torque monsters by hotrodders in the 1960s. This 1955 Buick Century has been restored to and kept as original as possible with NOS factory parts- any purist would appreciate the care and effort to detail.
