1973 Pontiac Grand Prix (Gray/Black)

Price: US $6,500.00 SOLD OUT

1973 PONTIAC GRAND PRIXExcellent candidate for restoration. Original X5 400-4bbl engine, TH400, Safe-T-Trac diff, air conditioning, tinted glass, power windows, locks and trunk release. Rally wheels and dual sport mirrors. Cordova top. 88000 original miles. Last inspected in 1991. Engine runs fairly well when warm. Doesn't overheat, doesn't smoke. Recently replaced fuel pump and added glass fuel filter to assure no rust is being pumped into carb. Engine needs comprehensive tune up but nothing else in my opinion. The engine is quiet but the exhaust not. It requires at least partial replacement. A/C is intact and in fact worked albeit only semi cold. Fan motor quit recently, however. Brakes are not functional. When I last drove the car a caliper froze and was then replaced but never bled. System needs bleeding. No fluid leaks. Rust remediation was handled many years ago, using metal patches and some filler. Straight body. Rustoleum flat black to protect body. Decent chrome, somewhat faded really. Correct vinyl roof was installed at that time. No rust underneath then or now. Deck lid is clean and rust free. Trunk is very good but does have a very small rust hole. Unfortunately, at the time, the floors were not inspected since they seemed okay from underneath. But they are not. Feel solid but extensively surface rusted. I would replace them.  The interior is good. Driver's seat has a torn side panel (easily replaced) Everything else is in nice shape including the headliner.1973's have real wood grain on dash, console and sides. The dash insert came unglued and is included. Gauges work including the clock. The radio no longer does. The dash pad has acquired a couple hair line cracks very recently. PLEASE NOTE: The car listed will be sold as is , where is, with no guaranties stated or implied. However, the description is honest and accurate, as if I were purchasing for myself. The title is in my name. The car is not a flip; I bought it in 2006 to restore but now as a senior I just don't have the motivation. Thank you for perusing my listing. PS. I also have NOS front fenders which will be available to the purchaser at extra cost.
