1966 Ford Galaxie 7-Litre 2 Dr HT. This rare 1966 Galaxie 500 '7-LITRE' model came factory with a 428 CID V8, Automatic Transmission, Air Conditioning and Power Front Disc Brakes. Jay Leno has a nice restoration video and back story to go along with this very model. This vehicle is registered as authentic by the 7-Litre International organization.From my research, this car was owned in Texas (suspect the tinted glass and upgraded radiator were installed there) and Colorado.- The 428 engine was rebuilt by a previous owner. - Factory A/C system was converted to R134a refrigerant. A/C Compressor does kick on when switched on. May need a fresh recharge to blow colder.- Purchased vehicle with an aftermarket fiberglass Tear-Drop hood which was very popular with 60's Galaxies. Included is a picture of a factory steel hood (with hinges, latch and mounting hardware) that I picked up and will include if interested. - The engine bay could use some detailing to be show ready, but overall is in great shape and complete.- The trunk picture shows an extra bumper jack and a box that is not included. Included is one jack set.- Vehicle color is Wimbledon White with evidence of there being a repaint. There is some overspray of white on the underside, but an easy clean-up in my opinion. I am selling the car in as-is condition and did my best to represent the vehicle's condition in the pictures and description included in the listing.
