1965 VW BUS Delux Walk Thru Combi, this bus has great patina, was used for over 25 years in Phoenix as a logo bus for the famous Latina Cantina restaurant/bar/night club, was even a DJ booth at one time. it was purchased and brought back to life over the last few years, it has a 2276cc stroker motor, forged counter weighted crank, race rods, lightened flywheel, FK8 cam, kenedy clutch, big valve 40x37.5 race heads ported and polished by CE, dual 44 Weber match ported manifolds, 1 5/8 merged header and Stainless muffler. it has a Az transaxle built trans, with H.D. side plates, 4.12 Ring and Pinion, welded 3rd and fourth, Super Diff, swayaway Axles. to lower the rear of the bus we used type 3 axle tubes and big drum brakes, lowered spring plates, new shocks. The front end is all new as well, narrowed Wagen West adjustable beam, drop spindles all new tie rods and ends, new shocks. All new brakes, hardware, lines, master cylinder, all wheel cylinders and turned drums. new shift coupler and bushings. The bus rolls on replica Sprint Stars and smart car low profile tires, handle great! The bus does have rust in the left front corner of the cargo floor and some pitting and pin holes , there is some bubbles in the in the paint on the right rocker., the paint is over 25 years old, needs restoration finished. No rust in any of the braces or surrounding areas. sliding rag top, all lights work. The interior does need to be redone. It has a 1968 middle and rear seat. I also have the rear bumper for it, currently not on because it hits the merged header. Very fun to drive and gets looks everywhere you go. LESS then 900 miles on Engine, Trans, and complete front and rear brakes/suspension. that's right less then 900 mile on complete drive train rebuild!!!! over 9000.00 spent on drive train rebuild alone.
