1978 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series (Green/Ivory)

Price: US $1,800.00 SOLD OUT

OK... after much consideration, I've decided to either sell this vehicle as a whole unit fixer, as a parts car, or just start selling the parts until I reach $2,000. The history of the car is I bought it for my kids from an electrical engineer and the car was IMMACULATE except for 2 small rust spots. (one under the drivers door front, and the exact same spot on the passengers side front) I had a buddy of mine who is a welder weld the 2 areas and they came out perfect.... until the very end on the passengers side. The dip-shit got a phone call and turned around with the metal still piping hot and it ignited the carpets and caught the interior on the passengers side on fire. I have all of the replacement piece including the wiring harness and the entire under-dash unit. The engine, transmission, and EVERYTHING under the hood is immaculate and works perfectly. All the switches, bumpers, grill, head lights, tail lights, blinkers, door locks, trunk lock, wheels, all glass/windows, fenders, hood, windshield, A/C compressor, blower motor, window regulators, tires, etc, etc, etc are in good working order. The engine only has approx 200k miles, which for these diesels is an opening act. We had this exact car with 480,000 miles on it, which is why i was considering keeping it and getting it fixed, but just do not have the time. The body panels from the rear doors forward are good. Front clip is perfect. The rear wheel wells will need a little love, but rest of rear including bumper, trunk, etc are all good. I have $4,600 into the car in the purchase, tires, fluids, etc I'm asking $2,000 for whole car in one shot, or I will sell the engine ($850), transmission ($400), and the rest of the parts until I reach $2,000 and the rest will be given to a scrap yard. As you probably know, these cars are extremely reliable/durable and safe. They are a great commuter car, kids car, or 2nd home vehicle. With no turbo, they are very low maintenance and do not leak or burn oil.
