Up for auction is one of the nicest 280se coupes you will find. It is a true surviver with 44,000 miles owned by world renowned comedian Red Skelton for 25 years. He was a maticulate sort keeping all the receipts including all his original registrations for years he owned (2 binders full). The car lived all its life in Palm Springs and San Diego. When I received the car it had a rip in the leather seat on the drivers side so I decided to replace all the seats with new factory correct leather also the car must of been sun faded because it had a poor quickly paint job so I disassembled the glass and chrome and stripped the complete exterior of the car down to bare metal (have photos to suport). I amazed to find there was no body filler or rust on the entire surface. The rest of the car was completely left alone and looks like new with the exception of a few of the wood pieces in the dash.
