1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40 Full Restoration / Modification Completly Rebuilt 350 Chevy engine 4 bolt main forged pistons with mild RV cam 1.74 heads Edlebrock pro flo electronic fuel injection Corvette headers Toyota 4 speed manual transmission and transfer case with Advanced Adapters Ranger 2 speed under drive Warn Winch Saginaw power steering 4" Suspension lift with Alcan Springs and Rancho RS 9000 adjustable shocks 315 x 75 x 16 BF Goodrich mud Terrain tires 5 each 16 x 8 Mickey Thompson Classic 2 with bead lock rings wheels 5 each The idea behind this restoration was to keep the vehicle as stock as possible with the addition of running 35 inch tall tires and adding additional power with the V8 motor swap. The complete frame off restoration process started with a very clean truck with low miles and zero accidents. The interior was tastefully redone as close to original color, and carpet and insulation were added. Many of the original components were kept and thoroughly cleaned and restored and most of the bolts were replaced with anodized factory Toyota parts. The vehicle has lived in a dry climate all it's life and has been garaged kept since 1991, I am the 3 owner to my knowledge.
